Areas: Attic / Crawlspace / Walls
Water pipes are wrapped with fiberglass or polyethylene pipe insulation to maintain temperatures within the pipes. These pipes are typically found in the crawlspace area, but may be in other locations as well.
Insulating water pipes keeps hot water pipes hot and cold water pipes cold, maintaining the temperature throughout. Another benefit to this is helping control any temperature changes that may cause the pipes to contract or expand, causing damage and potentially bursting the pipe.
